MALAD, Idaho (AP) -- Two people survived a small plane crash in Oneida County that happened as the aircraft was trying to land, authorities said.

Instructor pilot Matt McDuffy, of South Jordan, and flight student Dave Anderson, of West Jordan, were doing touchdown maneuvers at the Malad airport when the accident occurred over the weekend, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office said.
