Illness Linked to Tainted Ground Beef

Summary


A Utah adult was sickened by an E. coli bacteria linked to a recall of 75,000 pounds of contaminated ground beef, according to the Utah Department of Health.

Charla Haley, spokeswoman for the department, said the strain matched that implicated in the recall announced this week by United Food Group LLC and SuperValu Inc. Most of the products were sold under the Moran label at Albertsons or Save-A-Lot stores in 10 states, including Utah.
