Summary


Huntsman Corp. paid Chairman Jon Huntsman $15 million for his help in settling a lawsuit against private-equity firm Apollo Management LP over a failed buyout of the U.S. chemical maker.

The payout is described as "consulting fees" for founder Huntsman, 71, in the company's 2008 annual report. In addition, $53 million was paid to law firms Vincent & Elkins and Shearman & Sterling in 2007 and 2008, according to the report.
