Summary


A measure aimed at protecting the personal identity of blind people at ATMs advanced to the full House on Tuesday.

The proposed legislation would mandate that every ATM installed after Jan. 1, 2007, have a keypad or overlay with Braille so people who cannot see could use the machine without giving their PIN to someone else.
