Payson coach Dan Lunt doesn't like to single out one player's performance. But after the game turned in by senior Brett Hiatt at Thursday's boys Class 4A quarterfinals, it's kind of hard not to.
Hiatt, whose previous career game highs were 19 points and three 3-pointers, scored 33 and canned eight treys in the Lions' 68-59 win over the Cyprus Pirates. He hit five 3-pointers and scored 22 in the first half. He only missed two of 10 long-distance attempts.
