Holmoe Announces 'Y Games' to Promote More Athlete Support

Summary

PROVO -- BYU athletics director Tom Holmoe has announced a new program, "Y Games," in an effort to promote a support system for the 536 student-athletes that will be competing this year.

The objective is to have student-athletes support each other in their contests. Each BYU team chose one event from their home schedule to be their Y Game and to receive the additional support of fellow student-athletes. Then all teams on campus, students, the Cougar Club and the community are invited to attend that competition to provide a Cougar crowd atmosphere for some of the most important games of the year.
