Summary


The demolition of Geneva Steel won't happen as quickly as some company officials had hoped, as one California company positions itself to turn the bankrupt steel mill into a new base of industrial operations.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Glen E. Clark denied a motion that would have allowed the former steel producer to modify a contract to demolish the site. The ruling also said Geneva had 10 days to prepare an exit strategy out of bankruptcy.
