Geneva Legal Fees Disputed

Summary


Allegations of exorbitant legal fees and nondisclosure issues prompted a bankruptcy court judge on Wednesday to postpone payment of more than $630,000 to local law firms associated with the Geneva Steel case.

U.S. District Judge Glen E. Clark said some of the allegations surrounding Geneva Steel's legal fees are "amorphous at this stage," but he said the objections raised by one of the company's creditors prompted him to put off the payments.
