Summary


PROVO -- Lindsey Freeze stepped calmly into a hostile and unfamiliar situation and calmly nailed two clutch free throws to give No. 2 Timpview the edge in a gritty contest that went down to the wire before the Thunderbirds came away with the 53-51 victory over Provo in the Bulldogs' gym.

A 3-point attempt for the win by Mandy Kuchar rimmed out and the clock ran down as the two teams battled for the final rebound, and Provo lost the hard-fought contest. With the game tied at 51 and six seconds left, Bulldogs' center Cassie King was called for her fifth foul, and Freeze stepped to the line with the gym packed, noise filling the air and the crowd firmly against her, and hit nothing but the bottom of the net on both attempts, giving the T-Birds the two-point lead.
