Film is in the air this week. With the opening of the Sundance Film Festival, it seems appropriate that the Utah Symphony is doing what it can to celebrate the cinema with its own tribute, "The Golden Age of Film Music," with conductor Richard Kaufman. Of course, as the title indicates, this isn't the cutting edge of film music -- Kaufman drew from the classic repertoire of Alfred Newman, Max Steiner, and the like.
