PROVO -- The National Council on Family Relations has selected Blaine R. Porter, professor and dean emeritus at Brigham Young University, as a council fellow. Fellows are nominated by their peers and selected for their contributions to the field of family studies.
Besides his work at BYU, where he served as dean of the College of Family Living for 15 years, Porter also taught family studies at Cornell University and Iowa State University. In his work with NCFR, he has served as president, program chairman, chairman of the Committee on Family Life Education and member of the Publications Committee, the Executive Committee and board of directors.See the full content of this document
