A former University of Utah assistant professor who was not reappointed to teach has sued the school for discrimination, and her lawsuit claims some returned LDS Church missionaries in her class mistreated her.

Marisol Mejia filed a federal lawsuit in January in Florida where she now lives. It was transferred to Utah Tuesday.
