Kendall Collins and Pedro Matheu are like the phoenix, rising from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, taking flight in a new, albeit unlikely, Utah community, then soaring to the pinnacle of 12 years of education: high school diplomas.
Collins is set to graduate from West Jordan High School, and Matheu, from Copper Hills High School, in about two weeks.
