One vehicle after another piled into each other Saturday morning during a series of accidents on I-15 that sent two people to the hospital in critical condition and blocked traffic in Davis County for hours. Fourteen other people were sent to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Trouble began when two vehicles crashed at 7:07 a.m. on I-15 in the 2600 South area just outside Bountiful. That set off a chain reaction that ended up involving 13 vehicles, including two semitrucks that began leaking diesel fuel onto the road, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
