HUNTINGTON, Emery County -- Officials may know the fated of six trapped miners today as drill rigs are within a few hundred feet of men who have been underground in a collapsed mine shaft for four days.
A 2 1/2 inch hole has now reached a depth of 1,440 feet early this morning, and officials said they may know within hours the fate of the miners. A larger hole, nearly 9 inches in size, has progressed 355 feet through the mountain and may reach the miners by Friday.See the full content of this document
