Summary
The United Way of Salt Lake has been awarded a $45,000 grant from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Humanitarian Services Fund for the Michael Foundation Sealants for Smiles Dental Sealant program.
This is a school-based preventive dental program, with initial funding from the Herbert I. and Elisa B. Michael Foundation. It will provide free dental services to underinsured students in the Salt Lake City and Granite school districts. The new funding means the program can reach as many as 3,000 students a year, instead of about 1,500, targeting third-grade students in particular.See the full content of this document
