Delta Shopping for Wide-Body Jets

Delta Air Lines Inc., seven weeks out of bankruptcy, is shopping for new wide-body jets to improve its fleet's fuel efficiency and accelerate international growth.

The third-largest U.S. carrier is considering both Boeing Co. and Airbus SAS aircraft, spokeswoman Betsy Talton said Tuesday. While both offer twin-aisle jets that would lower fuel costs and enable longer flights, Boeing has the inside track, one consultant said.
