Crosses at Cemetery Honor Those Who Served

Summary

BOUNTIFUL -- More than 1,100 white wooden crosses stood like a mini Arlington National Cemetery at the north end of the Bountiful Cemetery on Saturday as local residents came to participate in the cemetery's 150th anniversary celebration.

The crosses, which will be left standing for one week, represent Utah veterans who are buried in the Bountiful Cemetery and who have served in any armed conflict from World War I to Iraq. They have been placed in the cemetery for the past 37 years.
