A recent campaign ad for Chris Cannon claims the congressman is as tough as nails on illegal immigration. Those of us in the immigration-reform movement beg to differ. An April 1, 2004, Fox News story by immigration attorney Matt Hayes sums up Cannon's approach to illegal immigration in its title: "Utah Lawmaker Pushes for Illegal Alien Amnesty." According to Hayes, "Rep. Cannon has found his constituency. It just doesn't consist of American citizens."
