PROVO, Utah -- Underachievers hurt all of society while those who are confident about personal success help, said a psychology professor and learning skills expert at BYU's 2009 Campus Education Week.
A. Lynn Scoresby, who is a family therapist and president of Knowledge Gain Learning Systems, said society loses out when children fail to learn to read well and either do poorly in school or fail to graduate.
