PROVO -- Five freshmen out of a small recruiting class of 13 ended up making significant contributions right out of the chute for BYU in 2003.
The Cougars relied heavily on freshman offensive guard Ofa Mohetau; freshman John Beck, fresh off an LDS mission to Portugal; and another returning missionary, tight end Phillip Niu.
