Summary


Our story begins with a boat.

Try to imagine it, a beautiful wooden vessel specially built for carrying cargo. It had a tall, stylish prow rising from the stern, and an even taller one from the bow. These prows had nothing to do with the cargo, of course. They were purely for appearance, so that the boat would look just as noble as any of the other vessels that traveled the Nile River and all its little branches.
