Summary
As longtime residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, we are very displeased with the proposal to have bars in residential neighborhoods. Before Club Jam (751 N. 300 West) was under present ownership, a serious problem existed at that site. A reputable motel that was directly north of it was forced to close because of the noise and disturbance caused by the patrons of the club. In addition, we have fought to get rid of run-down motels that were hangouts for prostitution and drug trafficking along 300 West.
We do not want these kinds of influences to return which bars and pubs can bring to our neighborhood. We hope the City Council will keep our neighborhood safe for children and adults.See the full content of this document
