Summary
Sunday, Jay Evensen, editorial editor of the Deseret Morning News, wrote a column to let us know how seriously he takes the First Amendment (Oct. 28). Unfortunately, past Deseret Morning News editorials regarding firearms indicate that the freedom-loving editor has a far lower regard for the Second Amendment than for the First. He clearly believes one of the human rights considered so important that the Founders deemed it important to specifically prohibit government infringement is not so important after all.
He should remember the Second Amendment guarantees all other individual freedoms. And unless he takes the Second Amendment as seriously as the First, one day he will truly miss it.See the full content of this document
