MINNEAPOLIS (Dow Jones/AP) -- Alliant Techsystems Inc., a maker of bombs and rocket engines, Thursday posted a 44 percent jump in profit for its latest quarter, helped by a sizable tax benefit.
The Minneapolis-based company, which has Utah operations in Magna, Clearfield and Promontory, had net income of $50.9 million, or $1.31 a share, for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, compared with $35.2 million, or 90 cents a share, a year earlier.See the full content of this document
