Celebrations Set for Rainbow Bridge

Centennial celebrations are planned later this month for Rainbow Bridge National Monument in southern Utah. The visitor center at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Page, Ariz., will host presentations on the monument Aug. 12-15.

Conservation Group Says Drilling On Federal Land Could Hurt Big Game

A big-game conservation group is protesting the lease of 26,000 acres of federal land in Utah that will go up for auction this month for energy development. The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership says drilling can spook mule deer, elk and pronghorn from prime habitat in Utah's western desert.
